Cloudy, dark day. Gloomy. Many vultures flew above, looking for any sort of food possible. Pitiful creatures was a term most used to describe it. What did Dervish Von Absinthe describe them as? Just another creature trying to get by in life. Then again, Dervish didn't know too much about living. He was bitten and 'killed' at the age of 26. That was pitiful to him. As time grew, Dervish grew to love being a vampire, without the stresses.
Running was one thing that one-half of the head vampires liked doing. It kept him well in shape, although sometimes his hair annoyed him by blowing in his face, like it was doing at the moment. Practically throwing his hair backwards, he hissed. It was only one of thousands of days that this happened. In his work out clothes, which was just a pair of sweats, he began to jog around the running track. It made him grin. A grin that would terriffy even the bravest of creature.
Slowly, he began to pick his pace up, and before long, was sprinting around the course, his hair looking like a black spur now.

A pair of icy blue eyes opened int he darkness and with a a soft yawning sound, Kat Turner pushed the lid to her coffin open and looked around her room. Her eyes locked on the roses that were sitting on her table. They were beginning to wilt. She let a small sigh escape from her lips. Unlike most of the vampires, Kat liked her flowers alive.. just like she liked everything else. Ever since her mother turned her, she hated the woman's guts. She would do anything to be alive again and be back in Translyvania. Finally, with a bit of effort, she hopped out of her coffin and got dressed into some skinny pants and a stripped tee.
The running track wasn't one of her favorite places, so the 18 year old looking girl was slightly surprised when her feet carried her past the rose maze and to there. She frowned slightly as she felt the cushy floor of the track under her boots. It always felt so weird to her and she hated it. When she looked up from the ground, she was slightly surprised to see Dervish. She smirked slightly and quickly ran so she was gliding right beside him. Sometimes being a vampire had it's perks.. like being able to run really fast.
"Hey you." she said, her accent think on her tounge. [/blockquote]

More black spurs were seen on the running track, a figure underneath the black spur running quickly. This war is taking a toll on us vampires. I don't know how much more we can take. Everytime I turn, there's another vampire dead. Everywhere I go in the mansion, I walk by a old room of a fellow vampire who was killed in battle. It's getting horrible. I have to end this- He was interupted by a voice, taking him out of his thoughts.
Turning his head, he saw the other head vampire of the castle, Kat. "Well hey there yourself." Dervish smiled very lightly, his smile not a very pretty looking one, or in his case, handsome one. It didn't surprise him that the younger vampire was able to catch up with him. She was of equal strength, speed, durability. Only difference was their history. Not to mention their gender.
"What are you doing out here? I didn't know you ran the track?"

Kat saw that he was in a slight daze and laughed a bit when she pulled him out of it. "Sorry for intterupting love." she said as she turned backwards so she was running infront of him and looking at him. Normally, she hated to run... but when you could show off your powers, well then it was just plain fun. She laughed at his words and looked around.
"I'm not a runner. I actually have no clue why I'm out here. I just got up and whent for a walk, but my feet carried me here and when I saw you I decided to stop and say 'allo." she told him as she flashed him a smile, her fangs glowing in the light of the moon. "Now, I know you're into staying fit, but why do you like running? It's so... borring"

Dervish shook his head one time, laughing at himself for being caught in a daze, pondering about his race. "No, no, it's fine. I was just thinking, that's all." His voice was deep, and had a natural commanding tone in it. His voice was as if he demanded respect, even if he was trying to sound nice and fun. It just wasn't naturally nice and fun. It was a reason he was one of the head vampires, because of the natural respect he demanded from others.
"Ah. Most times the feet have a mind of their own. I find myself simply roaming around the castle, not knowing anywhere specific to go. I am just walking." A small shrug was seen on Dervish's shoulders. At her question, he simply let a small, ugly sounding chuckle out. "Running is a habit my dear. Practice running, you practice pretty much any atheletic move. It stretches your leg muscles. Run enough, you could dodge a bullet at point-blank range." He smiled crookedly as he spoke, then looked at her. "That is why I run."
