Rain. Most people don't care for it much. It was just a waste of water on the land, which caused everyone to just stay inside. And even though Pete Witt was inside, it didn't mean he hated the rain. In fact, he loved it. He loved how it had it's own peaceful feeling to it that makes you want to just watch it, dance in it, and just smile. It was how the sky could finally cry after being so depressed, just sitting there up high.
Though now that it was well past time for anyone to be out, he was in his own apartment, waving good-bye as his band member, Patrick, left to his own apartment across from Pete's own. Hearing the door close with a click, Pete sighed, and jumped onto his black leather couch, and stared out his balcony windows. Now it wasn't just raining, he realized, it was storming. Lightning bolts crashing with the thunder wildly. It only brought a smile to his face.
He turned on his television, only to be brought with static. Pete sighed, turning off the television. "Looks like the cable went out..." He exclaimed to himself with another sigh. Once the cable comes out, it would only be a matter of time before the rest of the electricity would come off, too. And speak of the devil, the lights just then flickered slightly.
Being there was nothing else to do, he grabbed his acoustic guitar that was next to his leather chair, and strummed a few notes. If he was just going to be stuck there, might as well think of a tune, and create some lyrics for their cd...

Rain. One of Kat's favorite things. Every time it rained, you would find Kat in the rose maze with a set of paints and a canvas under a tent, just painting. Today, the only things under the tent was her set of paints and canvas, Kat herself was out in the rain, just taking it in. It was soaking through her clothes, but she didn't care. She needed this today. This was the third summer that she couldn't spend at the beach with her friends and it was killing her. Finally, she came under the protection of the tent and sat down at the blank white canvas. she was ready to paint.
One hour later and she was covered in black and gray paint and she sat there smiling at her painting. She had made it for Pete... the wonderful guy she had met at the bar two nights ago. When she was there, he tried to convince her to sell her paintings or atleast give them to someone. So, that's what she did. She sat down and painted for him. Now all she had to do was see him. Well, that would be to hard, all she had to do was follow the adress written on her hand.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Kat stepped into the Studio Villa Twon houses and made her way to room thirteen. Pete's place. A small smile crept on her face as she approached the door. Although it was slighly late in the evening [9:00], she couldn't help but want to stop by. So here she was, her long black hair soaking wet from the rain, and a painting under her arm.
After another minute, she gathered the courage to knock on the door. "Pete? Ar eyou home?" she called. "It's Kat Turner!" [/blockquote]

"Landing on a runway in Chicago and I'm grounding all my dreams of ever really seeing California, because I know what's in between is something sensual in such non-conventional ways. Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say. Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say... {Tonight I'm writing you} A million miles away. Tonight is all about "We miss you." {Miss you, miss you, miss you} Tonight is all about "We miss you"..."
Pete strummed and sang his new lyrics, smiling. Once he was finished, he'd have to definitely show the guys this song. It was good enough to be on their first cd, which they had all decided finally that will be called 'Take This To Your Grave'. Of course, Pete did have many songs written already, but what he liked to do was group all his songs. So far, he had four or five different groups, each group being it's own cd. Eventually, though, he'd probably have enough songs for five or so more.
"And I can't forget your style and your cynicism, someho-" His singing and playing stopped short, and his hazel eyes flashed over to his painted black door. A smile went across his lips as he heard someone shout to him, calling their name. Kat, he remembered well, was the gorgeous woman he had met over at the bar after their performance. They hit it off really well and eventually, he gave her his number and address. Setting aside the instrument and notebook, he jumped up, and jogged over to the door.
"Hey you!" He said with a large grin as he saw the beautiful Kat Turner standing before him with a canvas in her arms. Quickly, he gave her a hug, and said, "Here, come in. Your soaked, sweetie." Stepping aside for her to come in, he held the door open, and closed it once she was inside. "I missed you too, but you didn't have to come all the way over here in this weather. Let me go get you a towel." In a blink of an eye, he took off to his closet, and looked apon the unfolded towels. Hey, he wasn't really the neatest person around... Once back, he threw her the blue towel, and gestured for her to sit.

As Kat waited patiently for Pete to come to the door, she tried to think of an excuse why she was here at night. Maybe she would tell him that she hadn't finished the painting in time to bring it earlier.. or maybe she was just walking the streets and realized she was in his neighborhood. Yeah! That could work.
Finally, he came ot the door and she gave him a small smile. "Thanks." she said greatfully as she steped inside. His house was full of music. You could tell he was passionate about what he did just by looking around. "Wow... nice place." she said with a grin. "Very artistic."
Once te towel was in her arms, she began to dry out her hair and clothes. She laughed slightly at his comment, then shrugged. "I was actually painting in the park and I noticed I was close to your house." she said as she set her painting down. "So I decided to see if you were home." Finally, she finished drying off and she handed him the towel. "Thanks again." she said.
"Oh! Here's the painting. I was hoping you'd take a look at it. I never really have had many outside views on my art." she said as she help up the painting. "And I was also hoping that maybe you'd keep it for me.. you know? I thought it might be safe here. Plus I have way to many at home." Lord.. Kat was rambling. Something she did when she was nervouse and liked someone. [/blockquote]

Pete grinned, stretching his arms up. "Ah, thanks. Yeah, like I said, I'm pretty passionate about my music. It's my life..." His eyes gazed around his apartment. Instruments were basically strewn everywhere. Posters and pictures of his favorite and most inspirational musical artists were literally all over the walls. The white walls behind it, you could barely tell that they were white.
When she reached out her painting towards him, he looked questionably down at her, and took the painting and towel into his hands. He threw the towel with one hand down into the short hallway that led to his room, where it landed on the tan carpet. His eyes traveled back at the painting, and he tore off the paper. A smile settled apon his lips once more, seeing the beautiful piece of art. It dealt with music in an artistic way. He loved it.
"Wow..." He exclaimed. A slight chuckle escaped when she rambled on about why she brought the painting. When she finished, he smirked again, and said, "Hey, no problem. I'd love to, ah, keep it here for you." He quickly looked around, finally finding a place on the wall that would look awesome for the painting to be at. "I can hang it right over there once I go buy some more nails."
Pete set the painting down on the chair closest to the spot he had in mind, and finally came back towards Kat and sat next to her. "So-" He began, but was cut off when a large crack was heard, and the room became dead dark. His head fell down, eyes closed as he faced the ground, and he sighed. "Power's out. I'll be right back, I'll get some candles." Standing up once again, he walked into his bedroom, and returned with five or so short red candles, and a lighter. Placing them on the coffee table in front of them, he lit them, and finally, the room was cast into a warm, but dim, glow.

"I can see that." she giggled as her blue eyes scanned the room once more. After seeing all the instruments, she raised a brow. "Do you play all of those?" she asked him. The only thing that has to do with music that Kat was good at was singing. She loved to sing, but she never had too much pride in it. Her mother used to tell her she sounded like a dying cat so she should shut up.
Kat couldn't help but watch his face as he gazed at her work. The expression he had just made her smile. It felt so good to know that someone appreciated what she worked so hard on. "You like it? Really?" she asked eagerly. Again she could only smile as she heard him chuckle. Why did she always have to come up with an excuse? Why couldn't she just tell him that she painted it for him especially.
She jumped slightly as the power went out, but her eyes quickly ajusted. The only problem was that when her eyes ajusted to the darkness, they turned an icy blue.. like they were when she transformed. She nodded slightly as she sat there on the couch and he left to go get the candles. Once he was out of the room, she begn to try and un-ajust her eyes. "No no no..." she muttered. "Not now."
When the room was slowly lit with candles, her eyes returned to their original hazy green. "Oh that's better." she said with a small smile. "So, what were you going to say?" she asked him as she turned to face the man sitting next to her on the couch. [/blockquote]

Once again, he nodded. "Mmhm. Yeah, I play most instruments that are string. The ones that I have are mostly only guitars and basses. And I can kind of play the drums, but definitely not as good as Andy. He's our drummer... Speaking of," Pete shifted onto his left, and dug into his right pocket. Slipping his hand back out, he grinned up at Kat. "I got you tickets, two just in case you wanted to bring along anyone else, and backstage passes for our real performance. It's at a concert hall and everything. The address to it is on there." He handed the tickets and passes to Kat. He hoped she could come...
"No, I don't like it.... I adore it! I mean, wow! I expected for you to be an awesome artist, but to make something this good.. It's awesome!" Pete reached down, and hugged Kat once again. He kind of had a feeling it was for him... But you can't be sure unless it comes from the source. A warm feeling came apon him, thinking of that Kat may have painted this for him and just for him. She really was an awesome girl...
When he had returned, he heard her muttering, and a confused look came apon his face. "Um... are you alright, Kat?" Biting his lip, once the candles were lit, he looked over to her, only to have a confused look back onto his face again. He could have sworn her eyes had just flashed colors... In fact, the green that he had come to stare at and remember seemed a bit more... fresh and maybe slightly... icy. "Do your eyes change color?" He asked bluntly, hoping he didn't sound as stupid as it looked.

Kat raised a brow when she saw him dig into his poket. "Wh-" But before she could finish, he spoke and handed her two tickets. "Oh my god! Back stage passes and everything? Jeez Pete!" she giggled as she stared at the tickets. "Ofcourse I'll be there!" she said with a smile. She was more then excited to see Pete in concert. He had already seen what she could do. Now it was her turn.
At his comments on her painting, she smiled. "I'm glad and well..erm... I actually painted it with you in mind. I mean, the man sitting right there... he has a base in his hands." She looked over at him for a second before she was pulled into a hug and she let out a giggle, then hugged him back. "I'm glad!"
Kat, closed her eyes when he spoke, but opened them a second later. "Huh? I'm fine. I'm just not too comfortable in pitch dark." she said. Well that was a total lie. She lived in the dark. But she had to cover it up somehow right? Then he spoke of her eyes and she swalloed hard. "Oh! Erm.. yeah. It's a weird thing that happens to everyone in my family. Sometimes our eyes change color when we have to adjust them." she said quickly.
Kat took in a deep breath, hopping that he would believe her. What else could she tell him? That she was a painter by day and a blood-sucking deamond by night? [/blockquote]

"Psh, of course you get tickets and passes. I mean, you have to come back after the concert and brag about us to my band and I, now, don't ya?" He grinned, and pushed back his slightly damp hair (he had walked out in the rain when it first started) out of his eyes. It swapped messily to the side of his face instead. "I mean, now that you've given me some of your passion, I think it's only fair for me to pay you back the same."
Pete's face first had a slightly shocked look burst into his eyes and features, but as quickly as it came, it warmed up. So she had made it with him in mind. It really made him feel kinda special... "Yeah, I noticed the bassist. But I just figured you had a thing for bassists." He smirked playfully, and let her go from his arms. A slight disappointment came apon him in a flood. He felt, actually, rather comfortable with her in his arms. Almost as if he was meant to protect her from the world. But why the sudden burst of feeling?
At her reaction, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. He hadn't heard of that before... And how she said what she did, he knew right away she was definitely hiding something. But he didn't want to pressure her into telling him something that was private to her.... So he just nodded and gave her a small smile. "Oh. Well, erm... That's pretty awesome, actually."
Pete couldn't help but sigh, and rub the back of his neck. Suddenly, he had the urge to reach out and kiss her soft looking lips. Had someone sneaked alcohol into his drink tonight? Cause the last time he was almost drunk, he had had the same urge that night he met her. Biting his lip, his hazel eyes looking away, and finally back into her own, he thought he'd try to change the subject his mind was lingering on. "You know... If you ever need to talk to me about anything that's on your mind, you can, alright?"

For a second, Kat's mind lingered on the word 'us' in his sentence. What had he ment by that? But she quickly shook it off and smiled when he pushed his hair out of his face. He was so gorgeous. She nodded at his words and turned her body towards him. "Yeah, I guess so. Oh wow.. I'm so excited." she giggled. That was very true. She just hoped her transformation didn't fall on that day... and that it was dark out so she could attend.
She saw the slightly shocked expression when she told him she had painted it with him in mind, and a large flush rose in her cheeks. She bit her bottom lip and gave him a small smile and nod. At his retort, she smirked. "No, I just have a huge thing for musicians." she replied, the flush in her very pale cheeks still rising. She couldn't help but pout slightly when he let her out of his grasp. She had never felt so attached to someone this quickly before. It was strange, but she liked it.
Kat's heart sank when he obviously didn't believe her. She wanted to tell him so bad. She absolutely hated having to lie. She wanted to tell him everything. About how she died... about how she was a vampire. But he would surely just run away. There was no way a cute human man would stay in the same room with a vampire.. no matter how brave he was. She had to turn her head to the side and away from him as she bit her lip, but then, she felt something. Blood... in her mouth. Her eyes grew slightly wide and she riased a finger to one of her teeth. They were growing a little sharper. Oh lord... not now. Anytime but now...
When he spoke, her eyes turned back to him and she kept her lips together so as not to let him see her teeth or the blood. She had just met him two days ago and now she was sitting here in his house. He was telling her to be open with him. Oh she would if she could. She so would. She wanted to badly just to kiss him and tell him everything. But he'd surely run... he'd push her away and leave her with a broken heart. [/blockquote]

He grinned, happy that she actually wanted to go and see them. His past flings always went to his concerts, but just only to brag about being a girlfriend to one of the members. They didn't care about his music. They just wanted the sex that occurred afterwards. But Kat... She wanted to see him perform. Music was his passion... And anyone that loved music, he loved. She seemed only too perfect... Why had he just met this woman? Just met her, and already admit he has feelings for her?
"It'll start at about eleven. We're the last act. All you have to do is show this ticket and this pass to the man wearing a Fall Out Boy pass at the front, and he'll lead you to the front. I mean, you have to see us play front and center. It makes things more fun. Hell, and later in the performance if you want, you can come on stage and stage dive with me."
Pete smiled. She was blushing, and it was just too cute... "Ahh, I knew it! But come on, the bassists are always better, right?" Deciding to keep leading her on, he continued, "And if you don't have a thing for bassists like myself, you can also know that I know how to play the guitar, I can kind of sing, can play a couple beats on the drums, and am the screamer for my band. So take you pick."
His eyes traveled apon her lips once more, urges coursing though his system. He wanted to kiss her so badly by now... She was so beautiful in his eyes. And she was so much more different than any other girl he had ever met. He couldn't help himself. And that's exactly what happened.
In a quick movement, he found himself slid closer to Kat, himself inches away. So close that he could feel her breath, which pricked at his skin, and he kissed her. Right there and then. His peach lips dug into the pale ones of her own perfectly, and he was loving every minute of it. His hands had found theirselves to her waist, deepening the kiss. He was so full of passion at the moment... And though he had just met the girl... He knew he really liked her.
Could it be love?

Eleven. Perfect timing. The sun would be down in time for her to drive to he concert hall and get it. Kat gave him a small smile. "Perfect. I'll be there for sure." she told him as she stiffled a small yawn.
As he kept talking, the flush in her cheeks grew warmer and warmer. He was trying so hard to get her... though it also seemed effortless to him. She was falling and she was falling fast. She just hoped she could catch herself before he found out her secret. "Well, I dunno." she said with a small smirk. "All those things are good qualities... but the base is pretty sexy." she laughed.
Kat had to bite her lip when he got closer. "Pete.. I-" But before she could say anything, she was lost in a kiss and she couldn't pull back. It was too fantastic. As his arms found their way around her waist, her hands moved to either side of his face. But instead of a smile, a silent tear fell down her cheek. She wanted this so bad but knew she couldn't have it. He was human... and she wasn't. Finally, she had to stop. She pulled back slightly and rested her forehead on his.
Then, something happened that caused her to sit up again. Her mouth was beginning to water and her eyes widened. Now, the were back to that icy blue and her cainine teeth grew long and sharp. She quickly turned her face from his and closed her eyes. "I have to go.. I'm sorry." she said as she stood up.
Her eyes darted around, looking for an exit, but when they met the window... she gasped. Sun was shinning through the closed curtains. She couldn't leave. It was morning. "Shit..." she muttered. She was stuck there until night fall. But how would she survive without killing Pete??? [/blockquote]

Pete playfully wiggled his eyebrow up and down at what she said. "Hmm... So, does that make me sexy, or just my bass sexy?" Yeah, Pete could be kind of full of himself sometimes, but he was always playful about it. He didn't think that the world ran around him or anything... But it was always fun to think that it did.
He did kind of become a little depressed when he slightly heard her protest. Did she not like him after all? Normally he could keep his cool, but God, he couldn't handle but not kiss her at that moment. He needed to feel her soft lips against his own. And though at first he felt a little bad, the feelings wiped themselves away when he felt her kiss him back. He felt like he could jump from all the happiness that was in him at that moment.
Getting more into it, at the feel of her hands grasping the sides of his face, he trailed his tongue apon the sweetness of her lower lip, waiting for permission to enter. He wasn't like other guys who'd force their nasty tongues into the woman's mouth, practically choking her. He did it sweetly, but with passion. He couldn't help it. She tasted so good. And them kissing... It only seemed so right.
Pete groaned, disappointedly, when she suddenly pushed herself away from him. She cut short an amazing experience... His lips pouted out, and puppy dog eyes took over, as if begging for her not to leave him. He really was a little kid at heart... But when he looked down, his head found it's way to tilting, and confusion took part in his eyes. Her eyes had changed, but something else also had...
He saw them right away. He was good at observation skills... A pair of sharp fangs portruded out from her lips. Absentmindedly, he felt his jaw drop slightly. That wasn't normal... but like he said before, he already knew she wasn't a normal girl. And when she quickly got away from the new light that started coming through his curtains, he knew he was right...
"Kat... I told you before you can tell me anything... I really need you to explain this. Don't hide it this time, either. I already saw evidence..."

Kat couldn't help but giggle. What could she say? He was down right cute! "Well, I dunno.. both I guess." she said, her green eyes traling up and down his chest and back to his eyes. The way he said that... she knew he wasn't full of himself, and that was good. If there was one thing she hated, it was ego maniacas... kinda like this one guy back at the castle. He always thought he should be in charge and even once tried to get Kat into his coffin.
The kiss... it was perfect and she was loving it. Although she knew she should pull away and stop before she became to involved with him, she couldn't bring herself to do it. Infact, she just became even more lost in the kiss. She allowed his tounge to enter her mouth so as to deepen the kiss. Lord.. she was in heaven. She loved it.
Hearing his groan made her heart grow weak. Her eyes couldn't help but look back at him. She saw those eyes and those lips that she had just kissed. She wanted them so bad, so she forced herself look away. She had to.. she knew she would do something foolish if she didn't. Then, he spoke.
Kat let out an exasperated sigh and shook her head. "Look.. I'll tell you in a minute. But first, you have to lock me away. I don't want to hurt you. Please. Just do it. All I need is a dark place where you can lock me. I'm sure you don't want me to... you know." she muttered. Finally, she looked back at him. Her cheeks were even paler then usual and her hair no longer har streaks of pink and blond in it. It was now just pitch black... which made her icy blue eyes stand out. In her opinion, she hated when she looked like this, but to many others.. she was gorgeous.
She could feel her transformation becoming closer to be complete and she turned around to face him again. "Pete please... " she said. "I really don't want you to get hurt... You need to hurry..." [/blockquote]

Pete chuckled lightly, his eyes flashing as he looked at Kat's face once more. She was so... well hot, but also... beautiful. Though he did blush a tiny bit, he replied, "Hmmm, well thank you. But I'm definitely not as cute as you." This woman was the only one to ever make him blush and feel the way that he did. It was... amazing. How could someone as small as her make him feel so tall and strong? It was surprisingly the best thing in the world to him.
His lips were on fire and cooled at the same time as they played around. His tongue massaging her own, and it made him go wild. Honestly, this woman was amazing... One hand found it's way to the back of her head gently, his fingers stroking her hair, and the other onto her back. Kat really knew what she was doing... And hell, was she good at it.
Pete so wanted to lunge at her once more and continue their fun game, but he couldn't. Something was up. She looked so nervous... He felt the slight tension, and he just knew that she didn't want to stop, which made him smile inside. But why did she depart?
He stared at her, exasperated, as now not only had her eyes and teeth changed, but her hair. What the hell...? He didn't know what else to do, so he only nodded at what she said. Quickly getting up, he grabbed her forearm gently, and said, "Follow me." From there, he led her to an empty closet with nothing but a vaccum and some towels were in. "Keep in there. Look, I don't know what's going on, but when you need to come out, let me know."
Once she went in, he quickly dashed to the table and grabbed his keys. The door was able to lock, being that the previous owners had children, and they used that closet to keep their children in time out. Shutting the door, he locked it, and slid down the wall next to the door with a sigh. He hoped she'd be alright...
